Over the first year of the pandemic, I worked mostly alone at the front desk of a small 1950's motor court motel in Western North Carolina. We were doing touch-free check-in and most of my arrivals for the day would happen before 3pm. In the the quiet hours between my last guest arriving and my shift ending, I started to make music on my laptop. Each of these songs was written and recorded using a small MIDI keyboard and a outdated version of GB.

This album was inspired by the last thing I did before the pandemic started, which was visit Pittsburgh. Each song is written about one of the many bridges in and around the city.
